Event Description

In a higher interest rate environment, real estate is no longer just an asset class — it is a critical signal of broader capital market conditions, liquidity dynamics, and valuation shifts impacting corporate finance decisions.

Join AFP Vancouver for a timely and data-driven market briefing in partnership with JLL’s Valuation & Advisory team. This session is designed specifically for treasury and finance professionals seeking to understand how evolving real estate conditions are influencing financing strategies, balance sheet decisions, and investment activity across Canada.

Why This Matters for Finance Leaders

As capital costs remain elevated and markets continue to recalibrate:

  • Asset valuations are adjusting across sectors
  • Lending conditions are tightening and evolving
  • Transaction volumes are shifting amid pricing uncertainty
  • Development pipelines are facing new economic constraints

Understanding these dynamics is essential—not just for real estate stakeholders—but for any organization managing capital allocation, liquidity, or long-term investment strategy.

What You’ll Learn

  • How interest rates and inflation are impacting real estate valuations and capital flows
  • Current trends in debt markets, refinancing risk, and lender behaviour
  • Sector-specific insights across office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and development land
  • Where market dislocations are creating risk—and opportunity
  • Practical implications for corporate treasury, financing strategy, and balance sheet planning
