Huey leads KPMG’s Special Situations Group focused on helping companies through turbulent times. His objective during the COVID-19 pandemic is to help clients during recovery with a particular focus on liquidity, stakeholder management and business restructuring. Huey's focus is on helping clients navigate through corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, distressed and turnaround situations
Ben is a Partner in the KPMG Greater Vancouver Deal Advisory team and leads the Operations M&A practice, which comprises Operational Due Diligence, Integrations and Separation and Value Creation services. Ben brings 18 years of experience supporting clients in and around the deal process. This includes assisting business owners who are preparing their business for sale, buyer wanting to identify opportunities and risks from a potential transaction and pre and post-merger implementation.
Prior to joining KPMG Canada, Ben was based in UK where he worked with clients from across the UK, Europe and Africa. Ben also completed an extended placement at a major UK clearing Bank where he worked with the large and mid-market corporate credit team (bilateral and syndicated debt) on mergers, operational restructuring and re-financing.
Phil joined KPMG Canada’s Restructuring and Turnaround in Vancouver after transferring from KPMG UK and provides financial advisory services to a range of clients focusing on supporting businesses to manage through periods of underperformance or liquidity challenges. Before joining KPMG, he gained experience working as a Civil Engineer for a multinational contractor.
