Manager, Finance at Port of Vancouver

At the Port of Vancouver (the largest Port in Canada and 3rd largest in North American by volume), Floria manages the Treasury, Credit, Risk & Insurance and Financial Planning & Analysis functions. She is also the Chair of the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management Committee which is responsible for assessing, measuring and monitoring enterprise-level risks.

In 2015, Floria and her team led the re-development of the Port of Vancouver’s Business Resumption Planning process including development of a new governance model and framework, performing business impact assessments, preparing documentation, integrating with Emergency Response Plans and executing corporate training and exercises. Since then, the Business Resumption Planning program has been operationalized by the organization.

Prior to her role at the Port of Vancouver, Floria spent her career in the Accounting, Finance, Treasury and Risk Management functions at a number of Oil and Gas companies in Toronto and Calgary including Petro Canada and Imperial Oil.

Floria has a BBA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Stephen J.R. Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. She is currently on the Board of the Association of Women in Finance and an Executive of the Queen’s Smith School of Business Vancouver Alumni committee. In her free time she enjoys travelling, adding to her slightly unhealthy cookbook addiction, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Risk Management and Business Continuity Consultant

Clive Lunn is the president and owner of Acredo Consulting Inc. specializing in enterprise resilience consulting. Clive is a certified Canadian Risk Manager working in Enterprise Risk Management since 2006, and Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery since 1996. He was certified as a Member of the Business Continuity Institute in September 2000 and awarded his Fellowship in January 2003.

Prior to forming Acredo Consulting, Clive was the business continuity manager at BC Hydro for 6½ years where he reported to the Chief Risk Officer. He was responsible for all business continuity activities at BC Hydro, including integration with enterprise risk management and aligning all response activities with the emergency management program.

Clive’s business continuity and risk management experience includes; lead business continuity consultant at IBM South Africa, consulting services manager and member of the executive team at Business Recovery Services and Continuity SA, before this he spent over 10 years as an Information Technology professional, and 4 years as a police officer (rank: sergeant).

He has worked in 5 countries and his previous industry-related leadership positions include: Member of the Survive! Board (South Africa), Member of the Emergency Preparedness for Industry and Commerce Council (EPICC) board (BC, Canada), Member of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Business Continuity Steering Committee (Washington, DC).

He is the founder and current leader of the Business Continuity Institute Forum in Vancouver, BC and a member of the BCI Canada Chapter board.
